The Polartec shell handles wind like a champ—commuted in 20 mph gusts and stayed warm without sweating through the base layer. Fit is snug but not restrictive, and the showerproofing beaded off light drizzle easily. It's become my go-to for chilly morning rides.

Rode through a proper sideways rainstorm on my commute and stayed dry underneath, which is more than I can say for my trousers. The Polartec shell cuts the wind completely but I didn't overheat when I hit the climbs, that breathability is the real deal.

Took this out in a freezing, gusty 40mph ride and stayed bone-dry through a surprise squall — the Power Shield fabric really does its job. It breathes well enough that I didn’t overheat climbing, which is rare for a winter jacket.
