The tripping texture on the sleeves is the real deal — it's noticeably quieter in crosswinds than my old kit. First ride out I knocked two minutes off a familiar route, and the fabric still felt light on a warm afternoon.

Wore this for a fast 40-mile loop and the tripping strips on the sleeves are no gimmick, I was noticeably less beat up fighting the wind on the flats. Only gripe is the collar runs a touch snug, but once I'm tucked it stays put.

The fabric feels almost slick on the shoulders, and I stayed noticeably cooler on a windy 40-mile ride than in my old jersey. Whatever those trip panels are doing, it's working.
